Danny and I were missing our friends Ashley and Ryan so we called them up on Friday and said we are coming to see you tomorrow. We drove up Saturday Morning went to the children's museum and then went for lunch and played at the house and then went on a date. It was great to hang out again, I forgot how well Morgan and Matthew get along and how much they like each other.

New Years Eve

We were able to have a nice get together with a few friends to celebrate New Years. We had tons of fun and had great food. Since my family didn't get to do our traditional Steak and Crab Christmas Eve, Danny and I decided to do it for New Years Eve instead. We played catch phrase (a favorite of mine) and had a great time bringing in the new year!

A Merry and Warm Christmas

We are so glad at we were able to spend the holidays with our family, and even better it was in a warm place. We all met up in honduras and were able to have a wonderful time. Here are a few of my favorite things we did while there. (Above in Le Ceiba Honduras crossing the scary bridge into the jungle and national park)

These cousins had a blast together and loved playing in the water. We started the walk fully clothed and told them they could not go in the water. This was by the end of our walk. It is harder to keep kids away from the ocean when walking on the beach than I thought.

My favorite activity of all was going white water rafting however, we didn't bring our camera so we don't have any pictures of it. It was really fun because it is much different than our typical rafting because we went over little water falls with large drop offs and I loved it. (Above is the river we rafted)

Danny and I have been married for almost 5 years, and we have not ever gotten family photos so before this new baby comes I said we had to get family photos. Unfortunately the mustache put a damper on my hopes, but luckily on Dec 5th it was a perfect day for pictures. Susan Lookhart took them for us. Here are a few of our favs.

We decided to get family pictures taken and send out a holiday card this year, since Danny shaved his mustache (can be seen in post below) we were able to take some. We told Morgan we would go to the swings so after taking pictures we went to the swing at Anchorage Park. I think the picture of morgan made everything worth while.

An 80s Christmas

I (Danny) had the opportunity thanks to a fundraiser at school and a dare by my brother in law to grow a mustache this month in honor of Movember (national prostate cancer awareness month). And to make sure it was properly documented, I coaxed Brynn (pretty much had to force her at gun point) into taking these 80s family Christmas photos. Future wedding slide show pictures for Morgan? You betcha!

Thanksgiving

We were blest not only to have a great thanksgiving but to have our friends come and celebrate with us. We divided the meal 3 ways, and had a total of 5 pies for 6 people :). Our friends Ashley and Ryan were making the trip from Indianapolis, so on Wednesday night we had a few friends come over for a pizza night and then played some good old catch phrase (one of my favorite group games). It was a blast and I was laughing really hard for most of the game. Unfortunately the Boys won the best of three but it was a close one. Ashley and Ryan slept at our house and the next morning the boys were off to play some church flag football. Ryan now says he has retired from church sports after being tackled and having his finger and ankle compromised. While the boys were out playing Ashley and I got the day started by making a few pies and getting that turkey put in the oven. Who knew that a turkey would take 7 hours to cook. I thought we would eat around 2 but I didn't realize I would have to start the turkey at 7 am to hit that time. So we ate at 4 instead. Hillary and Kyle joined us for dinner and it was amazing. Everyone did a fantastic job on their parts of the meal and every dish was amazing. After we let the meal settle for a while, we dug into the pies that were made. We had pumpkin, coconut creme, peanut butter, chocolate marshmallow, and apple pie. They were all amazing and I don't know if I could pick a favorite. After pies we attempted to put the kids to bed, after a while, we played settlers to which Ashley won with a close second to Kyle. Then to honor the Christmas spirit we watched Home Alone. It was a fantastic day with fantastic friends. It was so relaxing and will help tied us over while finals start and we see less of each other.

Having such a great time with our friends and having so much during this time, made me realize just how blessed we are. We have so much to be thankful for. My favorite part of thanksgiving is when we take a minute to go around the table and say what we are thankful for this year. A few things that were said this year by the people in our group were: our health, family, spouses, kids, being able to have children, school, food, our homes/apartments.

I just turned to Morgan and asked her what she was thankful for and she said Jesus. (really, I thought she would say barbies or something, it must be Sunday). We are so thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and the ability we have to return home to our Heavenly Father when we make good choices and repent. I am so thankful for all the people in my life, that give my life purpose and meaning.

Thanksgiving just puts us in the mood for Christmas, I hope this Christmas season we can turn our hearts to Christ and enjoy this wonderful season and give to others in need. Have a great day!

Morgan+TimeChange=Sleep Issues

Morgan has been sleep deprived lately because of the time change, she wakes up earlier than she did before and she refuses to take naps, so around 4:00 I am ready for Danny to come home so he can deal with her. A few days ago she was having a really hard time and I was having a hard time so around 4:30 I decided I was going to take her on a walk, and for the first time it was really cold in Louisville, the wind was pretty strong (it reminded me of Lethbridge). So we bundled up and started on our walk about 1 minute into the walk she asked can I sleep, and I said no (since if she slept she wouldn't go to bed till around 11). But before I knew it she was out and I wasn't in the mood to wake her. So we walked home and then I tried to wake her. When Danny came home he tried to wake her, when he left to go play volleyball he tried to wake her, finally at 6:45 I got Morgan to wake up she was in a drunken state, but she was awake. Then I had a volleyball game and we won, then we won the tournament! Go team! (and for Joel, I then found $20.00).

On a side note since the time change I haven't made much sense, so if this doesn't you can disregard it, like most of my misspelled face book posts in the last 2 weeks.

Boyd's Orchard

During Danny's Fall Break we went to Boyd's Orchard with Kim & Jason and Melissa, Pat and Lily. We had a blast. It was a very hot day, but it was a lot of fun. They had a hay ride, corn maze, and a bunch of kid activities.

Today we got the first ultrasound and I finally feel like it is official. We are having a baby due on April the 17th 2012. The baby is measuring in the 75% already. Luckily I haven't gotten to big yet :) **Special note to Lindsey Bench, I have baby brain, and am glad you caught that!

A while ago in August proir to Spencer and Megan getting married, Danny had his white coat ceremony. His parents came out and we enjoyed having them here to celebrate. While I am sure I will find more pictures taken by danny or others this is the one I have. See if you can find waldo (aka Danny) His head is a little blocked by others, but I found him.

GRAETER'S the best icecream known to man

Luckily in Louisville Kentucky they have their own little factory to make ice cream for the local stores in the area. We were able to book an appointment to go on a factory tour and it was a blast. We were able to invite a lot of friends and all go through all the steps of making the ice cream. Morgan's favorite part was walking through the freezer.

Preschool

We were dancing to Justin this morning to the song baby of course. Then we started doing something else. A few minutes later, somehow Morgan had I am a child of God playing on youtube. A few minutes later she said to me, do you want the spirit in the house? and I said yes and then all of a sudden she had the Prophet speaking (on you tube). I thought it was the cutest thing ever and I didn't even know she knew how to use youtube. Kids are so cute and so smart.

Running the Ragnar

My sister Kristy asked me a while ago if I wanted to run the Ragnar, when I said Yes I was really excited to do this. We were running in memory of Caroline Williams and raising money to cancer research. I was training for the half marathon and thought doing 3 legs that totaled 18 miles would be doable after running 13 at once. The closer and close the race got the more nervous I got to run it. The week before I had decided I was crazy. Kristy got into town on the Sunday before the race and we ran a few runs together to get ready for the race, and running the hills in Alpine made me realize I could do this Ragnar. A few days before the race 2 of our runners wimped out and we had to find replacements, this was really stressful trying to find someone who was available and willing to run long distances. Luckily we were able to talk Kyle Hanson into joining us and we found another runner for our other van. So with a total of 12 runners our team was ready to run the 200 miles.

My team included Kyle, Johnny, Me, Fred, Kristy and Kara. One of the funnest things about the run is that you get to cheer on your teammates as they run. Our team figured out the perfect way to cheer each other on and would go to certain mile markers and cheer each other on. This was my life saver on my last run. My first run was great. Kyle taught our team about kills, in order to get a kill while you run you just have to pass someone, because I am competitive I didn't like it when people would pass me and "kill" me so I wanted to make sure to keep my pace and pass as many people as I could. On my first run right when I was getting to the pass off point 3 men where trying to pass me. I ran my guts out so they wouldn't pass me and it worked. One of the most memorable part of my runs was Batman. While I was running I saw him in the distance and then before I knew it I was side by side him, because he was running. So after a little convincing I got him to run with me, then he told me his name was Robert. I think Robert may have regretted the decision to let me know his name. By the time he wanted to walk again I was ready to pass him and my last words were you can do it you can run the whole thing, and I got him to say he wasn't going to walk any more. Well for each of my legs I would try to catch up to Robert and tell him to start running (he would run fast, then take breaks and walk). It was really fun and my van would yell encouragement to him as well.

My last leg of the race was the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life (and I am not exaggerating). I had run 10.6 miles so far and I was running on 3-4 hours of sleep (over 2 days). Before I had even started my run my quads were sore. My goal for this race was to RUN the entire thing, no walking. My last leg was mostly an incline from mile 3.5-7.7. I knew it was going to be hard, but I just kept telling myself "I can do hard things" (thanks mom for the quote). At certain points in the race I told myself, just one foot in front of the other. As I started the race I prayed for the strength to be able to not walk. I knew as soon as I started running that this would be a mental game and that I would only walk if I gave into my "natural man". My team was awesome and waited at mile 3, 5 and 6 and gave me gaterado and the cheering I needed to keep it up.

I am so glad I took the challenge to run this race. It was really hard but was so much fun and like Cal stewart says you always remember the hardest things the best! and this was a memeory I will never forget. Who knows I might do one for fun soon:)

Nathan and Wendy's Wedding

Arizona

Before we went to Danny's brothers wedding we made a stop in Arizona to visit Danny's best friends Keegan and Spencer (and their wifes). Driving from Kentucky to Arizona wasn't to bad, it was the first time I had been in Missouri, Oklahoma, (2nd time in) Texas, and New Mexico. We were able to stay at my parents house in Chandler Arizona, which has the best kids pool known to man. Lindsey and Keegan were awesome enough to have us for a few days and make us amazing food (turkey burgers and fish tacos).

Dannys Company Picnic

Danny just finished up working at Unique Management, a library services company. Before his last day we went to the company picnic where morgan was able to get her face painted, she picked a purple butterfly. Which she loved, the next day we found her covered in Marker apparently we are not good at teaching the difference between when it is ok and not ok to paint on ourselves.

The Ragnar

For those of you who don't know I am running the Ragnar, a team relay race where I will run a total of 18.4 miles. I run three different legs 5.7, 4.9 and 7.9 miles. You may be wondering why I am running this race sometimes I wonder to. But the reason I am running is to fight cancer. Alot of us have friends and family that have had cancer and I am running to support those I know with cancer. In order to run the race I have to raise at least 400 dollars. I have had a few wonderful supports, but still need to raise 300.00 if you want to donate, anything will help even $1.00. You can donate by clicking on the link to the side of my page!

Washington D.C. Trip

Danny had a couple of vacation days saved up at work, so we decided to take a long weekend at the beginning of May to visit some friends in Washington D.C. Since leaving BYU, a bunch of our good friends moved there so we tried to spend as much time with all of them as we could. We stayed with Jenna and Tyler Swinton and spent most of our time with them and their 3 kids, Thatcher, Sterling, and Avery. We ate great food, went to a fun animal farm (which Morgan requests to go to every day), played at the park, and went on a fun date which included a great restaurant and a crazy game of miniature golf. We also visited the national arboretum (tree park) in D.C. with the Swintons and Erin and Corey and their daughter Kelsey. We spent all of time at the Banzai Tree exhibit which was surprisingly awesome. They have trees there that are several hundred years old and only a couple feet tall. The oldest tree was from the early 1600s. On our last night there, we had a pizza party and were again joined by Erin and Corey and also our good friends Bryce and Katie. Sunday morning was Mother's Day, so Danny and Tyler woke up early and made an amazing breakfast. When Jenna and I came down, they were wearing shirts that said, "We Love Our Jennas." (For those who don't know, my first name is Jenna). It was a pretty quick trip, but we had a lot of fun. It's amazing how you can not see good friends for months or years and instantly just pick right up where you left off. Thanks again, Jenna and Tyler, for having us and providing fun activities.

the rain in spain

It has been raining pretty hard the last few days. Yesterday Morgan was staring out the window looking at the rain and really wanted to go out in it. So I said if you get your rain boots you can go out. Before I knew it she got me in the rain to, then it started to pour since i was wet already we went puddle jumping. Luckily our neighbor Carl was out and we asked him to take some pictures... and he is pretty good, so we have this great shot.

Makes Me Smile and Makes Morgan Dance

Hanson, yes THAT Hanson, was on Conan the other night singing the new single from their new album. Who even knew that they were still making music? I loved the song, so since then, we have watched this video on Youtube everyday. Morgan loves it and instantly starts running around the house and dancing when she hears it.

Once upon a time, I used to draw and I loved it. I still do it often, but never just for fun, I do it for my clients. I am not very good at understanding lighting and sometimes I shade things in the wrong places, one of my clients wanted a starfish on her wedding invitation... so I did the easy thing and decided there had to be good clip art out there, after looking for an hour, I realized there were NO starfish out there that looked (to me) acceptable, so I had to draw one, and it turned out much better than I thought. I had no clue I would be so afraid to draw a simple starfish that only took me 10 (or less) minutes to draw. Instead I spent hours looking for one. Lesson to be learned, we have talents and we need to use them, and google is not always the best answer.

Morgan has been especially cute these days, it makes me realise I LOVE two year olds. She is obsessed with changing her clothes, hanging and swinging from anything with a ledge, and chap stick.

I just wanted to make sure I remember what she is like at this age, because it is priceless. She is so capable it amazes me. Her vocabulary grows ever day, and I keep thinking she knows that word? no way.

On Saturday we went to the grocery to get food for Sunday dinner and we went to the salad dressing isle and the baking isle was on the other side, we were looking at different dressing when Morgan bolted to the marshmallows and grabs a bag, hugs it and says "these are my favorite!" I had no clue she could be so adorable, so she got her favorite marshmallows and I learned she knew the word favorite.

If you see Morgan more than 1 time in a day you will see her in a different outfit. It is quite fun to see the different outfits she comes up with (as you see pictured above).

Happy 26th Birthday Danny

Danny turned 26 on Sunday March 20th. Since it was a sunday we spent a nice slow day together. I woke up and made buttermilk pancakes with strawberries and whipping creme. Then after a nice church meeting, Danny and Morgan look a nap. Then we made a homemade cake recipe danny loves. We went home teaching together which I always find fun. Then we had a wonderful meal that Danny ended up making (he was hungry and I was working on the cake). We love chicken baked in creme with potatoes and corn. After dinner we were able to have cake, but before we ate Morgan and I sang happy birthday to daddy. We have been practicing for a month now, so it was fun to hear her sing it.

This year has been really good to us. We really appreciate our daddy and danny and the hard work he does for us. A few highlights of his 25th year are: 1. He got into Dental School 2. He got into Dental School and 3. He got into Dental School. 4. He ran his first 10 k and finished in 55 minutes. 5. He moved his family across the country. 6. He has a really cool wife and daughter.

We just love danny so much he is so wonderful and makes us so happy each and every day!

I was able to go to canada for 2 wks to work and spend time with my family. It was a blast and Morgan LOVED being with her grandma and papa and devynn. Thomas and Morgan were always together, they loved the bath and shower in my parents room. They asked for multiple showers a day.

Did I mention it was freezing when we got there? It was -18 degrees c. and it snowed for the first few days we were there. It warmed up just as we were leaving but the snow gave our kids the chance to play in it and shovel.

Celebrating 4 Years

I cannot believe that Brynn and I have been married for 4 years. It's an interesting paradigm, because it seems like time has flown by so fast, yet I can't really remember life before having Brynn in my life. Brynn and I had planned to go on a vacation together at the end of March, but since that fell through, we had some money to blow on a fun anniversary weekend. Since I usually plan these types of things, Brynn decided to take the reigns this year. She did an awesome job, and we had an absolute blast together. I took Friday off of work, so Brynn came and picked me up on Thursday after work and we drove to an awesome bed and breakfast just across the Ohio River in Indiana. This was our first B & B experience and it didn't disappoint. They had hot cookies waiting for us, which was nice since we had just come in from a torrential rain storm. We quickly got ready and headed out the door for dinner. Brynn had done exhaustive research to find the best restaurant in Louisville. Every website, every blog, every article pointed straight to Corbett's. It's a restaurant that has been fashioned out of an old plantation style home. It is gorgeous inside and out and the food receives rave reviews. About an hour later, we realized that we had a case of the emperor's new clothes on our hands. When you pay that much for a meal, I think people feel foolish for saying anything other than that the food was amazing. We enjoyed the experience none the less and would have been disappointed had we not gone at least once while in Louisville. When the waiter asked if we wanted a desert menu, we looked out the window and saw a Graeter's Ice Cream across the street and said, "Check Please!" Check your local grocery stores for this stuff. Graeter's is the most incredible ice cream around, and they just barely started shipping it out all across the county. Before that, you could only get it in Ohio and Kentucky. It was still raining like crazy when we left, so after eating ice cream and getting soaked in the rain, we ran back to the B & B and hopped in the jacuzzi and watched a movie together. Needless to say, the night was improving. The next day was amazing. We just hung out together. We went to the Zappos.com warehouse which is a few miles outside of town where they have a clearance center. Unfortunately that was a bust, but we had fun anyways. On our way back home, we stopped off at Papalino's Pizza, a NY style pizzeria that we have been wanting to try since we got here. Luckily the real deal matched the awesome reviews on this one. With full stomachs and time to burn, we both agreed it was nap time. Those of you without kids may think that is a waste of time during a short weekend getaway. Just wait. When we woke up, we once again went shopping. After finding some good buys, we hit up BJs for dinner and a pizookie (a hot pizza like cookie with ice cream on top, mmmm!) Finally, our awesome weekend was rounded out the next morning when we ran a 5K together, finishing the race in just under 26 minutes. We finished the race, and pretty much just kept on running (one to beat the traffic, and two because we couldn't wait to go get Morgan). Ryan and Ashley Baker were awesome enough to watch Morgan. She was kind of in shock when she saw us, but it didn't take long for her to be her normal crazy self. We then had the Bakers over for a BBQ and we watched BYU destroy San Diego State. The perfect ending to a perfect weekend. Thanks again Brynn! I love you so much and look forward to many more anniversaries to come.

Race Day- 5k

Valentines Week and Our anniversary

Well this was a fun week, I love any type of celebration. So this week we got to celebrate valentines and we got to kind of celebrate our anniversary. We are do a formal celebration for our anniversary this weekend (thanks to our friends Ashley and Ryan (we are trading with them)).

For valentines we celebrated by making valentines cookies on Sunday, on monday morning we had pink heart pancakes and morgan and I made valentines with paint, crayons and construction paper. Morgan was done doing after 2, so we only ended up making 4. On monday night we went to qdabo and kissed for a 2 for 1.

For our anniversary we were able to go to the temple in the morning thanks to Julianne Hatton. Later that night Danny let me convince him to go to sushi with me, Morgan loved the gyoza.

As I sit here realizing I haven't blogged in two weeks, boy time passes quickly, then I realize that I have almost been married for 4 years, I have a two year old, I have lived in Louisville for 7 months, boy time really does fly.

Danny and I were talking about how we barely remember morgan even being a baby, she is so much fun and so much energy now, I barely remember what we did last week. So I better do a good job of recapping our lives so I can remember things.

Right now I remember:

- Last night morgan threw up 5 times (good thing I had just washed all her p.j.'s)

- Today morgan grabbed Danny and I in a hug and yelled Family!

- The other day morgan kissed my elbow and I asked her if she wanted me to kiss hers and she said "myself" and tried to kiss her own elbow, while I laughed inside.

-Morgan loves music and dancing, and the other day she put her hands on her hips moved then in a circle and said Music... so I put on Justin Beiber "baby"

-Morgan loves her friends, she loves to be social and she loves Ashley. I love Ashley, good friends are such a blessing.

- The wedding invites that I sometimes let rule my life come and go, but Morgan and Danny are here to stay so maybe I should invest a little more love for them.

-My family is awesome, my sister Devynn scored 27 POINTS in a basketball game. She totally stepped up to the plate.

- I love designing, when I get the finished product I am soo happy I am doing it.

- Morgan loves her cousins, and she loves to say the word cousins, she runs around yelling COUSINS!

- Morgan loves to jump, we go to a gym for kids once in a while and Morgan loves it, she is really coordinated and has been jumping for a while now.

- Morgan's speech has really improved, I will have to start writing down what she says because it is adorable, the other day danny was getting ready for basketball and morgan said Danny Basketball and he said yes and she said let me get your shoes... it was crazy.

Well that is all I remember right now... so I will have to do a better job of recording what I remember before I forget it.

Morgans Birthday Party

We had a blast at Morgan's Birthday Party, we did it during the day with just a few friends, and a few art projects.

We first made crowns for everyone to wear, then did some painting, and per Morgans request we then danced, then they ran around the house while we made little pizzas for everyone.

Then we all gathered into the living room, ate pizza, then had cupcakes, sang happy birthday and Morgan blew out her candle. Then we opened the presents, and they were all awesome, Morgan loves her presents, thank you.

It is so great that Morgan and I have these great friends to play with all the time, thanks for coming!

Morgan is TWO!

Awesome Saturday

This weekend was great, we had a low key weekend that turned out wonderfully.

On Saturday both Danny and I exercised, cleaned the house (deep clean), took a short nap, played with morgan, ate a good meal and watched a movie. It is amazing to me how a simple saturday can feel so good.

Christmas

We really should have taken more pictures during this wonderful Christmas season.
We were able to see both families, which was a blessing. We went snowboarding with my family in Idaho at targee. It was some of the best skiing I have had in years, the snow was deep and the weather was beautiful. After an awesome day of skiing we jumped into the warm outside pool, which was a blast till we had to get out and run in the freezing cold air to get dressed. We had some amazing food (of course made by my mom) and we had a ton of fun together. The next day we headed back to Utah for a fun filled week with Danny's family. We got to go to Tucano's to celebrate Danny's getting into dental school, and we got to meet Spencer's Girlfriend Megan. We then went to Temple Square to check out the beautiful lights. The next day Carol planned a bunco party and a surprise Eagle Scout Ceremony for Danny and his Brother who did their eagle scout but never had a court of honor. The court of honor was a big surprise, and the bunco was a blast.
On Christmas eve, we went to Jump on it and then went to a Nativity put on my the Snyder's ward primary. Then we did family dinner and Grandma gave everyone a present that happened to be p.j.'s. Christmas was a blast and we were able to see a lot of the Snyder family. Wendy and Nathan, took the time to plan a cool present for Carol and Steve, and Wendy took pictures and then got them printed and framed.
One of my favorite thing of this trip was when Morgan got to see her cousins, she learned the word cousins and would run around the house yelling cousins, cousins (it was adorable).
The next few days were filled with family and fun, but some of the highlights were bowling, and date night and playing ticket to ride (thanks Connor and Lindsey). Unfortunately we had to leave and get to the real world of work, but we had a wonderful time with all of our family.

Danny and I just celebrated the best New Years we have ever had as a couple. Danny wanted to make sure we had fun this year so he planned a party for all of our friends. We were lucky enough to have our great friends, Matt and Daphne, host the party since our 2 bedroom apartment wouldn't hold the crowd. The space was perfect and the party was a blast. We started out by having authentic Cafe Rio fro dinner. Danny ordered the pork, rice, beans, and house dressing when we were in Utah and vacuum packed each and packed it with dry ice for the flight. Needless to say, the meal was great. Then, we played a crazy game of BUNCO. Everyone got into it and made it really fun. After BUNCO, we played Minute to Win It games. Ashley Baker seriously needs to go on that show. To round the night out, we played Catch Phrase. At the stroke of midnight, we all grabbed some 2011 glasses, a Martinellis, and a 2 minute sparkler and celebrated in the rain in the front yard. We had so much fun preparing and enjoying this party with our best friends here in Louisville. For those of you who don't check my whitefield design blog here is the party invite.

thanksgiving with our awesome friends

We were lucky enough to have our amazing friends come and visit us this thanksgiving. The Swintons drove all the way from Washington D.C. and we loved every minute of it. We filled our time with a lot of game playing and food eating. Once Danny gets a few pictures off his phone and up here you can see more of the great time we had. Jenna made pecan pie and we had the typical feast, with turkey (that magically turned out) potatoes, corn and green beans, oh and stuffing too.

We also went to the Louisville Slugger museum which did not disappoint, I definitely recommend it to all that ever visit Louisville. We also went on a date without the children (I love getting to go on dates) We went to Harry Potter and can't wait to see the next one.

Last night at 12:02 AM, I was accepted as a member of the class of 2015 at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. It has still not set in, but figuratively, and to tell you the truth quite literally, a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Behind my wife, daughter, family, and friends, this is the greatest blessing that Heavenly Father has ever given me. I am so grateful and excited for this next stage of my life. Thank you all so much for your love, thoughts, prayers, fasts, and support. I really appreciate it. GO CARDINALS!

A Marathon Weekend (Literally)

This is Danny. We just had a great weekend as a family. I had a dental school interview at Indiana University in Indianapolis, which is about 2 hours north of us here in Louisville. So Brynn and Morgan picked me up from my work on Thursday evening and, after stopping off for some Five Guys and Graeter's Ice Cream, we headed for Indy. Our hotel was right across the street from Lucas Oil Stadium where the Colts play. That night, we got to bed early in preparation for the next days activities. Friday morning, we all went to the dental school for the open house they had prepared. We took a tour of the school, met with faculty and students, and Morgan was basically a super star. Everywhere she went, people would huddle around. That night, we went to an awesome New York style pizza place, swam at the hotel, and watched one of the Harry Potters on TV. The real adventure started the next morning. My interview was at 9:00 AM and our hotel was about 3 miles from the school, so I left at 8:30 so that I would be plenty early. I drove about a mile and was brought to a complete (and trapped on all sides) stop because apparently there was a marathon that crossed my path to the school. I called every number that the dental school has, but no one was picking up (it was a Saturday morning). So around 8:50 I called Brynn just to let her know about my situation. She, being the problem solver that she is, tells me that she is on her way. So, she ran the mile to the car with Morgan in her arms (the stroller was in the car) and I hopped out and ran the remaining 2 miles to the school in my suit. Luckily (I guess) it was freezing so I didn't sweat really at all, but I did catch a glimpse of my beet-red face and nose in the glass as I entered the building. The financial aid guy who was acting as a receptionist simply said, "Let me guess, the marathon?" It was about 9:15, but everyone was super cool about it. I grabbed a few breaths and a water and went in to my interview. I explained the situation to my interviewers (one student and one faculty member), and said that I thought that I had just qualified for the Boston. They laughed and the rest of the interview went great. In fact, I think that it was the best that I have had this, or last year. Brynn just drove straight to the school after the traffic broke and she was waiting outside nervously when I got out. She was glad to hear that it had all panned out. Ryan and Ashley Baker then drove up from Louisville and we met them for lunch at Chipotle (they don't have them in Louisville). After lunch we went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum, which is the largest in the world. We spent the whole afternoon there and only saw about half of it. The kids had a blast, and after hitting up another good pizza place for dinner, we drove home. It was a much needed weekend for all of us. That was my final of 4 interviews before December 1, which is the first day that dental schools can accept applicants, so we would love your prayers in our behalf. We were lucky enough to get a babysitter on friday night so we could go to an awesome Halloween party. The party was really fun with a bunch of activities (my favorite) good treats and great people. Danny and I dressed up as Woody and Little Bo Peep, but when looking for our costumes earlier that morning we realized we both left part of our costumes back in Utah, so Bo Peep was with out her bonnet and Danny quickly made a vest. People thought of some pretty good customs, we had a couple from nightmare before christmas, napoleon and debbie, a meth addict and her homeless husband, and my personal favorite was a russian figure skater and her coach (who had an amazing mullet). We look forward to some events this weekend where morgan will be dressed up as our little sheep. maybe I will have time to make another bonnet:)

Morgan This morning eating her regular breakfast of strawberries, a smoothy and eggs. She was so happy this morning, she woke up while danny was still here and they sneaked into my room and she came and gave me a big hug and a kiss while yelling in a happy tone MOM!
Here we are on the plane, Morgan is even pretending to be happy.
I wanted to show you a picture of her and her soother, because we finally got rid of it, Morgan really wanted it, so we cut it and gave it back to her and she told us it was broken but she still holds it when she goes to bed.
This is a picture I came across while uploading pictures, this was a few months ago when we just moved here. We like to go on bike rides to our local park, after a hard rain me and morgan left, not knowing that it was going to pour on us while we were playing at the park. So we playing in the rain but then it started to rain so hard it almost hurt, so we rode back quickly and had Danny capture this picture.

So we went to Arizona, Canada, Utah and now are back, We are glad we got to visit everyone while we were gone but we are glad to get back to our normal schedule. I need morgan to sleep regularly so I can sleep too! Luckily when I got back into town we were invited to a pumpkin carving party and Danny carved this pumpkin can you guess what it is?

Danny got another interview this past week for USC on the 29th, and since he is interviewing at Midwestern on the 27th, Morgan and I decided to travel with him to Arizona, and spend a few days relaxing at the swimming pool. So we are going to Arizona for a few days and then we are separating, Danny is going back to Louisville and I am going to Canada for 2 weeks, 1 week to do astro jump work and one week to spend time with Devynn, and go to Cassie's Wedding. I am really excited to see and spend time with Family. If you want to hang out let me know and we can make sure we spend time with you. We can't wait.... till friday.

Oreo Milk Shake

So Danny is really good at making oreo milk shakes, morgan is really good at waking up at 10:00pm to eat them. Morgan has been waking up at 10:00pm with night terrors, or just waking up for fun. One night Danny and I were watching a movie and made oreo milk shakes and popcorn, she woke up and she couldn't resist the need to drink all of Danny's Milkshake.

Labor Day Activities

Today we wanted to make sure we had a wonderful day before Danny started work. So we made plans with our friends the Bakers. The boys went and played basketball early in the morning, and the girls and the kiddos went to a local "forest" and went on a walk, stopped by the lake and the little kids did their share of rock climbing. Later in the day we went to the YMCA and went swimming. Then our friends the Mills had a wonderful family BBQ over at there house.

My sister Kristy had a beautiful baby boy and named him Charles Clayton Williams. He was a bit big at 8 lbs 15 oz but super cute.

Listening to her awesome birth story was so amazing it made me want to have another kid, but on a serious note that will not happen soon.
Not much new has been happening here in Louisville, the weather is getting better (it isn't ridiculously hot anymore) so we go outside at least once a day. On thursdays we always go to the library and then go play with all our friends at the park or the Chick-fil-a it has a nice play place and great service.

Danny got a job and starts on the 7th of September, he also has gotten 3 dental school interviews (one he had today) at Louisville, Indiana, and Midwestern. We are hoping for more, but very excited that he already has 3.

My business is keeping me busy, which I love and is pretty fun so far. I had my first headache on a wedding invitation I was working on, but it all worked out in the end. I am really excited to work on the next few weddings I have (one in NY, one in Lexington and one here in Lousiville).

Morgan is getting to be soo big and soo smart, and now she will watch t.v. (for about 20 minutes). It is great, she is more shy here and misses aunt de de so much, but We are learning to love our new home.

This is Danny. Do you have a time that you always see? This is a question that I have asked friends, family, and acquaintances for many years now. Half of the people I ask have no idea what I am talking about. Of the other half, I would say that half of them instantly spout off a time. This conversation usually begins when I look at a clock, my watch, or cell phone and see the time 9:41. I don't really recall when I started noticing it, but I see the time 9:41 at least every other day, most times more. I think that I started making a mental note of it when as a child growing up in Las Vegas my favorite radio station was 94.1. I would look at my radio and see 9:41 and 94.1 right on top of one another. A few years ago, I noticed that every product that Apple advertises, whether it be an iMac, a Macbook, or the iPhone has the time of 9:41 on it, though occasionally there is a 9:42 thrown in there. So yesterday, my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to do some research on why Apple does this. It turns out that every keynote address that Steve Jobs or another Apple exec delivers starts at 9:00. They practice their speeches for hours on end and a picture of the new product is always revealed 40 minutes into the speech. They give themselves a minute (or two) of leeway so that when the product shows up on the screen, the time on the product matches the times on the watches of those in the audience. Leave it to Apple to think of every little detail. So there you have it, the cosmos aren't aligning to make me the next CEO of Apple. But I still think that I will notice 9:41 until I die. So, do you have a time that you always see?

I hate taking tests!

So since we moved to Kentucky, I needed to get a Kentucky Drivers License because my Utah one expired while I was in Canada. So, I went there and they told me I had to take the drivers test. I didn't have my social with me so I had to wait a day ( so I could go home and pick up my social)to take it. I haven't written a test since I graduated college, so I was really dreading it. Danny had to keep reaffirming me that I could do it. I even studied for a few hours, so I wouldn't fail. I am such a poor test taker. Even if I know the correct answer I seem to mess up how I read the problem. So I went on Monday to take the test, and they told me I could only get 6 wrong... so I knew I had all the signs correct and I knew I had the possibility of getting 7 questions wrong... My little sister just took her test and I remembered that she said she asked the ladies at the front if they could help her understand the question. So I thought I would try it, but the lady at the front wasn't nice like the one was to Devynn. So I handed in my test... and I got 6 wrong! So I passed! Hooray!

Louisville

Well we have been in Louisville for one week and a day. I have figured a few things out.
1. It is very hot and very humid here.
2. I can't really do my hair straight.
3. Having a swimming pool at our complex is really nice.
4. There are actually a lot of cool things to do in Louisville (the zoo, and the YMCA waterpark, etc)
5. They have Graters Ice Cream here. It is amazing. My personal favorite is coconut chip.

If anyone has tips on how to do hair in humid places, I would love to hear about them. I had no idea how hot it would get here and we went out to a BBQ on Friday and with out thinking I wore a cardigan. It is way to hot to wear a lot most anything, so I am going to have to invest in some short cap sleeve shirts. So far we have really enjoyed the city, we usually spend at least part of the day swimming.

Danny saw on our friends (Tyler and Jen's) blog a cool kids attachment for a bike. So we got one, and Morgan loves it. So we usually spend 15 or minutes a day on that. We got morgan a bike helmet and it is fun to see her run up to and try to put it on. I will have to attach pictures sometime.

Danny is working hard each day, studying up a storm. He will be taking the dat in August and then hopefully will have a job. He is applying again to lots of schools, so hopefully we will get some interviews soon.

A girl I met named Jayda asked me if I played volleyball and her team was short a player on Tuesday so she called me up and I went out to play sand volleyball, it was 6 on 6 and a blast. Since playing I think I want to join...

My Family meets up at the lake every year, this year was fun but sad not have Danny with us. It was a blast we have a tradition to play a family football game each year. Some how my team always seems to lose, which I take pretty hard. Morgan and I have had a great time together. Morgan loves the water and really like to tube. I wish I had more pictures of Graham, Thomas and Morgan playing together, they are soo cute together, Morgan trys to hug and kiss them all day long.

I was expecting this summer to go by a little slower, but wow, it has been flying by. We have been up in Canada for over a month now, and we will be moving to Kentucky shortly, but before we do we are heading back to utah for our last hur-ah. Danny's brother spencer is coming home from his mission next thursday, so we thought we would go and say hi to the family before moving our roots to the state of Kentucky. We have been busy up in Canada, danny and I both work during the day taking turns taking care of Morgan. Morgan is one crazy child, she loves to dance, and run around, and she also like to have tantrums now and she likes to make a mess of anything in her way. My parents have this wonderful grand piano that can play disney songs on it, so every morning she dances to Mulan's "I'll make a man out of you" I tried posting a video of it, but I couldn't get it to load so we will post that at a later date. Danny hasn't heard back from any of the schools, so he is getting ready to apply again. I am getting ready for our move to kentucky and starting the business officially. I just finished another wedding invitation, I love making them. Astro Jump is getting busier and busier as the month move on, so maybe by the time we leave, we will have huge muscles. A friend asked me to join her at bring a friend to boot camp day on Saturday. I thought I was in shape, but this reminded me that I am not, I felt like I was on biggest loser, we moved medicine balls, lifted kettle weights, ran with bungee cords, hit a tractor tire with a sluge hammer. With all that activity I could barely move today, I tried to get Danny and Devynn to do everything for me so I didn't have to move my legs, unfortunately I had to go up and down the stairs a few times, and it really hurt.

This Sunday was Fast sunday, and we actually had a wonderful fast and testimony meeting. If there wasn't a line to go the front, I probably would have gone up. It just reminded me that Heavenly Father really does know me and is aware of what I want and what I need (not that I am getting what I want). It was a really nice to be reminded of the love that Heavenly Father has for us.

Eat Your Heart Out Susan Boyle

This may come as a surprise to some, but I (Danny) really enjoy good musical theater and I love the play Les Miserables. Brynn and I constantly fight over which play is better: Les Mis or Wicked. So naturally, as any person with a steady heart beat did, I loved this last week's rendition of I Dreamed a Dream on Glee. Definitely the best remix yet.

From Utah to Arizona to Canada

Well since the 29th of May we went from Utah to Arizona back to utah and then drove to Canada where we will live for 2 months, before we move to Louisville, where we are moving to get residency, or hopefully get into dental school this year.

We had a blast in Arizona, we were able to be surrounded by my whole family, go hiking and biking and swimming. We biked in Sadona, I definitely recommend it, it was a lot of fun and not tooo hard. We also climb Camelback which is pretty steep which felt like I almost was rock climbing, and then the rest of the time we spend in the pool, which Morgan LOVED.

After Arizona we flew to Utah, packed up the truck and heading to my home, it was a long drive and Morgan was pretty good considering the circumstances. I think she is getting her k-9 teeth because today she cried uncontrollably and was drooling like it was her job.

So now we are in Lethbridge, working for Astro Jump and living with my parents. If you are canadian and reading this, we need friends so call us, if your american you should come and visit!

BYU Graduation

Danny Graduated this week from BYU with a Bachelor of Science, in Marriage Family and Human Development. I am so proud of him and his hard work to do so well in school. With graduation alot of changes are heading our way. We are moving to Canada to work for 2 months, then we are planning on moving to Louisville Ky, where I will officially start my design business (doing wedding prints, and other invites). Danny will find a job and we will live there for at least a year, or until we get into dental school some where.

Crazy Change of Plans

So as of today, we have changed our summer plans, instead of being in utah for the summer we are going to Canada for at least the month of may and june possibly more. I guess that is the fun part about being our age, you end up doing what works. We are going to work for Astro Jump. So if any of you want to make the trek to Canada we would love to see you, or if your in Canada we would love to be friends.

So on Saturday it was a beautiful spring day with out a spec of snow on the ground, I would never have thought that it would start snowing Tuesday and not stop till late Wednesday and create a total of 18 inches of snow, turning off the power of the south side of our town from 8am till 1pm today. so working on Astro Jump things was a bit difficult. But Morgan and I played in the snow a little bit when it was warm out (since we didn't bring any snow clothing) Morgan made her first snow angle, when I lightly tossed her in the snow, we learned to eat snow, and Morgan loved it. Morgans hands were bright red so I brought her inside and she was very upset to leave the snow and come into the house.

The Joy's of Canada

So I have come back to Canada for three weeks and it is fun to see the slight differences that Canada has vs the USA. I love Canada and it is fun to hear the difference in talk and actions.

Today Morgan got immunized and got 4 shots, while we were there they gave us a food chart so we could see the food proportions I should be giving her. It was great the sign had a bunch of veggies beside a hockey puck and it said, 1 serving size of veggies = 1 hockey puck. Only in Canada.

For your information Morgan is weighing a whooping 21.10 lbs and 32 inch tall.

I love how clean Canada is, it could because it is sooo windy here, I forgot, how cold wind could be.

Whitefield Prints

I am sure most of you know about my new endeavor whitefield prints, well today I got my latest job {save the dates} done in letterpress. I love getting new prints, it is so fun to see your work come to life. Since I graduated with a BFA I decided I couldn't let me design side of me die since I had morgan so I spend a few hours a week doing graphic design now a days.

I also would love to do more wedding prints, so when we move {hopefully we move because we get into dental school soon} I can start a formal wedding invite/graphic design company. If you know of anyone that would like some custom wedding invites done for a great price, let me know, I give them a great deal!

Happy Birthday Danny

Well if you didn't know, Danny turned 25 this Saturday! It was a wonderful day, Morgan even slept in till 9:00 (the longest she has ever slept). We started off the day with crepes and pancakes, went to sophie's birthday party, went out to eat at cafe rio (danny's favorite) went birthday shopping, took a nap, went to a early stake conference, watched the BYU game with Spencer and Kelsey and ate papa murphy's, and played blockus (danny won all the games, I think it was rigged).

I can't believe that Danny is 25, I met him when I we were both 18. Time really does fly, but with all this time that I have known him it has made me love him more. So I wanted to list 25 reasons why I love Danny.

1. He has a really nice smile with really nice looking teeth.
2. He is a great soccer player.
3. He is really talented at all sports.
4. He is a kind hearted person, who wants the best for everyone.
5. He has great penmanship.
6. He loves me and Morgan with all his heart.
7. His smashing good looks (I really like that he cuts his hair short for me)
8. He can pick up anything (when we got married he didn't waterski or wakeboard, now he is amazing at both)
9. He works hard.
10. He is smart, (and when something is hard like bio chemistry, he studies hard so that he can understand it)
11. He is a great artist, he can make anything with wood, he likes to paint and is very creative.
12. He goes on walks with me (he will usually do anything I like to do, this is very nice when your married to the person)
13. He helps me around the house as much as he can (tonight he did the dishes for me, very appreciated)
14. His laugh, I will pretty much do anything to hear Danny laugh (I will even watch Nacho Libre, or blow on his stomach)
15. His sense of style, he can pick out an outfit for me or my mom and it will totally be in style and look great.
16. His friendships with others. I love how he is a good friend, loyal and there for them when they are in need.
17. His spontaneity for buying new things, while sometimes I dislike this trait, most of the time it ends up with things that really benefit us. Like when he bought the vinyl machine or the heat press.
18. How he makes me feel like a million dollars. He wants me to feel special and will plan fun dates and romantic evenings.
19. He has a great singing voice.
20. His desire to get into dental school (this has proven to be the hardest thing we have ever tried to do, but he continues to go at it happily).
21. How good of a father he is. I love watching him play with morgan and watching her laugh, or when he takes her to the park and she can't stop smiling.
22. His dedication to the Gospel.
23. The poems he writes to me on special days.
24. How he has embraced the goodness of Canada.
25. How we do everything together, like ski and snowboard, crafts, wood working, and how we enjoy spending the time together. I love you.

REX LEE RUN RECAP

So I actually ran the 10 k, and I noticed 2 things, 1. I am not as fast as I thought I was. 2. A lot of people run 10 k's. I was really happy with how I ran it, as girls flew past me, I had to remind myself, that I was running for myself and not to win. I ran 8 minutes faster than last time I ran a 10 k. It felt really good to accomplish a 10 k, I would recommend it to anyone, it isn't too far of a distance and it feels really rewarding.

San Diego

Luckily for me Danny's sister and my sister both live in San Diego, so when Danny's sister decided to bless Gideon and Eden decided to be baptized, I knew I wanted to make a trip of it. So Morgan and I played with Danny's Family from Wednesday to Sunday and then I spent the rest of the time with my sister Kristy. Morgan had a lot of fun swimming or trying to swim with all of her cousins in Indio (near palm springs). Morgan got her hair done in pig tails for the first time. She learned to wrestle/play with her cousin thomas. She ate sand again, we are trying to get her to stop that. Danny learned how to surf (thanks joel and seth). I got to have the best food ever (frozen yogurt, sushi, the best sandwich ever, etc) it is nice when your siblings have great taste in food. We had a blast, thanks Kristy and Danny's Family.

REX LEE RUN

So Danny has worked with the rex lee run for the last three years, this year he helped with Advertising by doing the vinyl for rex lee run. So I decided I was going to run the 5k last year just a month and a half after having Morgan, this year I decided to run the 10k. I was a little worried about actually being able to run 10k's since, I have only been running about 2 times a week, so today I decided I would try to run 6 miles (the most I have ever run is 5 miles). Then this morning I ran 6.2 miles in 1 hour and 13 seconds.

So if anyone wants to run the 10k with me, I would love having a partner to run with. The run is March 13th. You can register on rexleerun.byu.edu hope to see you there, you can run the 5k if you don't want to do the 10 k. Also the money goes towards cancer research.

Best Anniversary Ever

I wish I had remembered to bring my camera, for our little excursion to celebrate our 3 years. Our amazing friends Lindsey and Keegan said they would take Morgan for the day and night. So Danny and I actually got to do something cool for our anniversary. We went to Midway and stayed at the Worldmark by Wyndom, after dropping off our stuff we went to Park city to go to dinner and a movie. We asked our friend Lauren Ovaitt if she had any recommendations for dinner and she hit it on the spot. The restaurant was exactly what we were looking for, good atmosphere and good food. We went to Hapa Grill got gyoza, shrimp tempra sushi rolls, the hapa burger and the beef Thai salad. I would recommend all of them... it was amazing! Then we went to Valentines Day thinking it would be romantic or something. I would rate it a 2 out of 5, so I would not recommend it. Danny ended the night with one of his famous poems, (I make him write one every anniversary) and it was wonderful. On Tuesday we went swimming in the morning got some more great food at tarahumara (mexican) and then went shopping at the outlets in Park City and I got some running shorts and a beautiful cardigan from Ann Taylor. It was a wonderful celebration of being Married for 3 years.

So as of yesterday we have been married for 3 years now, a part of our marriage is doing things fun that we did when we were dating. A few weeks ago Danny was stressed out, so i called up his best friend Keegan, and Eric and they surprized him and we went to dinner and then we decided to do a past time activity... so we made a movie that we danced too... so here it is... it maybe a waste of time for you too watch, but I love it and I thought it was interesting, I learned two things, I can't krump and I dance funny to Miley Cyrus! The song choices were Keegans, and if your only going to watch a bit, go to 2:31 Danny is pretty amazing!
